So does anyone have an idea where Rolf Lear went off to? He joined back in here and then disappeared again. If someone works at IBM, that's how we pinged him last time. He has all the necessary passwords for a release.

Wouldn't it be reasonable at this point to contact Maven Central, explain
the situation, and register a second maintainer to JDOM ?

If that's not feasible, you can always create a jdom3 artifact, even
though the packages are still called jdom2. We'll all know why the artifact
name changed.
