No. Seems overly complicated to me.

TransformerFactory factory = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
Transformer transformer = factory.newTransformer( new
StreamSource(xslFile) );
JDOMSource xmlSource = new JDOMSource(document);
StreamResult result = new StreamResult(outputFile);
transformer.transform(source, result);
