Jason Hunter will be the speaker at the February 22 meeting of the 
Software Developers Forum, Web Services SIG.

Presentation title:
XQuery and Web Services

Abstract:
XQuery is an exciting new language under development by the W3C that's 
designed to query XML data, or any data that can be represented as XML 
such as relational databases or office documents. It's amazingly 
powerful, quite fun to write, and poised to take the world by storm. In 
this talk, we'll look at some working XQuery deployments and dissect 
how they work, and how they work in a Web Service environment. There's 
no better way to understand a new query language than to see it in 
action.

Presenter biography:
Jason Hunter works as a Lead Applications Engineer at Mark Logic.  He's 
author of "Java Servlet Programming", published by O'Reilly. He is also 
an Apache Member and as Apache's representative to the Java Community 
Process Executive Committee he established a landmark agreement 
allowing open source Java. He's publisher of Servlets.com and 
XQuery.com, an original contributor to Apache Tomcat, a member of the 
expert groups responsible for Servlet, JSP, JAXP, and XQJ API 
development, and sits on the W3C XQuery Working Group. He co-created 
the open source JDOM library to enable optimized Java and XML 
integration.
