[jdom-interest] DataConversionException javadoc and other issues

IMHO, there should be only String getValue(). Wasn't it at about the same
time there was a thread about getFormatDate() and other convenience *Value()
methods which lead to the obvious question/discussion where do you stop with
the get*Value() methods.
