[jdom-interest] Inserting elements to an XML file without rewriting the entire file

JDOM Newbie here:

I spent a couple of hours searching the archives and found "related" 
topics.  If the answer is there, help me find it.  I also downloaded the 
exmples, but did not not have any luck.
