You need to make sure the JDOM classes are on the client machine.

You can easily download them via an applet by using "download extensions".
There is a tutorial here:

This is the same problem you are having with the java.util.List classes not
found, the client needs the Collections classes. You will find the
collections.jar in the lib directory of JDOM. Check out the readme. You can
include these classes using download extensions.
