If you're interested in gathering everything into a concise FAQ answer,
I'd be happy to post it.  My own thoughts are we should implement a
JDOMSource and JDOMResult to interface nicely with JAXP's transformer
model.  We'll extend SAXSource and SAXResult so engines understanding
those classes can use our classes nicely, while having our own
JDOM-specific additions so engines of the future that understand JDOM
can use the more direct methods.
